Missional Culture

Leaders create culture, while managers work within it. More than any vision or plan, the unseen culture of a church forms her capacity to grow, mature, and live missionally. Culture is like gravity, rarely named yet always at work, pulling people toward their base instincts or toward their sacred potential. We create culture, and culture re-creates us, so to form a missional people is to tend the elements that give a congregation its character, until the whole body comes alive, joining God for the good of our neighborhoods and the renewal of all things.
