JR Woodward

JR Woodward is a church planter, missiologist, and movement leader who has spent more than three decades establishing missional-incarnational communities across the United States. As the National Director of the V3 Church Planting Movement, co-founder of Missio Alliance and the Praxis Gathering, and author of three books on missional culture, movement ecclesiology, and leadership, Woodward has become one of the most trusted practitioner-scholars in the North American missional church movement. His work is distinguished by the rare integration of grassroots church planting experience with rigorous academic research -- his most recent book, *The Scandal of Leadership* (2023), is a direct outgrowth of his PhD dissertation at the University of Manchester.
